Its main healing properties are provided by glycoproteins (allantoin and other low weight compounds such as sugars), polysaccharides and phenolic compounds contained therein. In addition, this ingredient contains mucilage which provides moisturizing and emollient effects.
• Arnica: It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties which accelerate the recovery and healing of the skin.
• Centella Asiatica: according to WHO, the properties of this active principle may be due to the synergistic action of some of its components, in particular triterpene compounds. They stimulate the activation of fibroblasts and the production of type I and III collagen, key elements in wound healing because they promote reepithelialization. Asiaticoside has been shown to accelerate post-surgical healing of superficial wounds and ulcers.
• Glycyrrhetinic acid: its hydrating and keratolytic properties help normalize the stratum corneum and the skin barrier. On the other hand, it provides steroid-like antiphlogistic / antipruritic action and promotes skin healing.
